SHAREHOLDER WILLIAM J. BLECHMAN APPOINTED VICE CHAIR OF THE ANTITRUST & TRADE REGULATION LAW CERTIFICATION COMMITTEE OF THE FLORIDA BAR
June 25, 2020 – Kenny Nachwalter is pleased to announce that Shareholder William J. Blechman has been appointed Vice Chair of the Antitrust & Trade Regulation Law Certification Committee of The Florida Bar for a one-year period commencing July 1, 2020.
Board certification recognizes attorneys’ special knowledge, skills, and proficiency in various areas of law and professionalism and ethics in practice. Established in 1982 by the Florida Supreme Court, board certification helps consumers identify specialists in various areas of law.
Bill is Board Certified in Antitrust & Trade Regulation Law. He concentrates his practice on antitrust law, predominately on the plaintiff’s side. He typically represents the interests of large public and private companies or entrepreneurs with claims against entities that violate the antitrust laws. Bill has represented clients in a broad array of industries in many antitrust cases involving dominant firm misconduct or conspiracies not to compete. As part of his practice, Bill assists multinational corporations in formulating and implementing measured and principled strategies to maximize recoveries in international cartel claims. His cartel practice spans the United States, Europe, and Asia, and involves proceedings incident to enforcement actions by the United States Department of Justice or foreign competition authorities, including the European Commission, the Japan Fair Trade Commission, and the Korean Fair Trade Commission.
