Michael Ponzoli is an experienced commercial litigator in state and federal court, with his practice devoted to areas of complex business litigation, including plaintiff’s side antitrust litigation and securities and professional liability defense.
Michael’s antitrust practice focuses on cartels in restraint of trade. In those matters, he has represented clients in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, retail grocery products, and railroads. He represents clients seeking individualized relief rather than participation in class-action litigation, generally through claims centralized in federal multidistrict litigation.
Michael has represented clients on a broad range of other commercial matters, including business torts, contract disputes, securities fraud cases, and class action defense. Michael has also represented law firms and attorneys against claims of malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, misrepresentation, and other claims in connection with their professional services.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Michael is a member of The Florida Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and the American Bar Association. Michael graduated from the University of Michigan Law School, cum laude. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College, summa cum laude, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
